Terms of service

Plain English, on purpose. These terms cover websites built and hosted by Wovi, a Level44 Ltd brand. Last updated 10 July 2026.

What your subscription includes

For £49 a month you get: your finished website, kept live and hosted in the UK; small text and image changes, sent to us by email and usually done within a day or two; and support from a real person at phill@wovi.co.uk. There is no setup fee, no minimum term and no contract lock-in.

The subscription covers one brochure website. It does not include new page builds beyond the original site, online shops, booking systems or other software features.

Billing and cancellation

Payments are taken monthly by card through Stripe. You can cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal: it takes two clicks and there is no notice period. We do not do retention calls. Refunds for part-months are not given, but you keep the service until the end of the period you have paid for.

The grace period

When you cancel, your site does not disappear overnight. It stays live for a grace period of 30 days after your final paid period ends. During that time you can restart the subscription or buy the site outright. After the grace period the site is taken down. If the site had been indexed by search engines, taken-down pages will show as not found; that is a consequence of cancellation and is your choice to accept.

Buying your site outright

You can buy your site at any time for a one-off payment of £299. The buyout includes: the complete static site files, delivered as a downloadable bundle; help transferring the domain to you, where a domain is registered on your behalf; and 30 days of DNS grace, where we keep the existing setup pointing at your site while you move it. After the buyout, hosting and changes become your responsibility unless you keep a subscription.

Preview sites

We sometimes build a preview website for a business before speaking to them, using publicly available and verifiable material such as published reviews, listed services and opening hours. Preview sites are marked as previews, are excluded from search engines, and are taken down promptly on request. If a preview is about your business and you want it removed, email phill@wovi.co.uk and it will be taken down, no questions asked.

Acceptable use

Your site must not be used for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful. We may decline or remove content that is illegal, infringing, or that misrepresents the business the site describes. Where reviews or other third-party material appear on your site, they are quoted verbatim and attributed.

Our right to remove sites

We may take a site down if the subscription lapses beyond the grace period, if the site is used in breach of these terms, or if the business it describes asks us to remove a preview. Where reasonable we will contact you first at the email address we hold.

Liability

We keep sites live and backed up with reasonable care, but we cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will post the new version here and, for material changes, email subscribers before the change takes effect.
